DELTA-C

Delta-C is a process that eliminates the porosity and micro-cracking that is inherent in hard chrome plating thereby preventing corrosive materials debonding the plating and attacking the substrate. Application of Delta-C is carried out by highly skilled professional personnel specifically trained in this procedure and dramatically increases the durability of hydraulic cylinders that operate in harsh environments such as:

          • Underground Mining
          • Coastal or Marine areas
          • Dusty or Abrasive environments
          • Exposure to corrosive chemicals

 

CORROSION RESISTANT HARD CHROME - Hard chrome is often used for corrosion and wear resistance, but due to its porosity corrosive fluids and contaminants can penetrate the chrome and cause it to debond from the substrate. Over time this breaks down the protective surface that the chrome provided. Delta-C eliminates this problem by sealing the pores and fissures in the chrome and bonding with it to provide an extremely hard smooth surface. Corrosives and contaminants can no longer penetrate the chrome to cause damage. The increase in surface hardness also provides a major increase in wear resistance therefore extending the life of the treated components by more than 10 times.
